Kathy received her master’s in nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from George Mason University in collaboration with the George Washington School of Medicine in 1996. She worked 10 years in family practice and 5 years in Urgent Care prior to joining the Center for Advanced Orthopedics and Pain Management.  

Kathy is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a member of the ANA and both the Virginia and North Carolina Nurse Practitioner Associations.

She is married with 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren and is an avid knitter.
